FELLOWSHIP

NYNY is a 2-year fellowship that is focused on closing the opportunity gap for ambitious first-generation college students. The program focuses on Life Planning, Career Development and Community Leadership
Eligibility:
Are you a first-generation college student with 12-36 credits?
Tenacious and committed?
An emerging leader?
Application Deadline: March 8th
To apply: www.newyorkneedsyou.org/apply
I put this one first because it is an amazing program. You bi-weekly career workshops in the city but they cover your transportation and you get to networking and meet amazing people. I have never seen a program of this caliber. I can personally say that this program had a huge impact in the offer I received for my internship this summer. It is an amazing experience. If you have questions, contact me directly.
This is also a great opportunity for young alumni to serve as mentors. I see the mentors benefiting more than the fellows sometimes as they build their connections. Beware, it is highly selective and only few make it.
